Privacy

The short version

• No supporter accounts or site analytics. PayPal’s checkout uses its own services and privacy practices when you open payment options.
• Joining the waitlist sends your email address to Supabase and Resend for early access and occasional build updates.
• Support checkout saves a random payment recovery key, selected amount and order state in this tab’s session storage. It stores no card details or payer contact information.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives a request from your browser.

Forms

We collect your email address, signup time and signup source, which identifies the website consent wording shown when you joined. Supabase stores the waitlist and delivery status. Resend stores your contact in the Mayday Waitlist segment and sends a confirmation, early-access news and occasional build updates. We do not use this form to collect your browsing history, UTM tags or referrer.

We keep your signup while the waitlist is active, or until you ask to leave. Reply to an email or contact hello@runmayday.com to leave the list or request deletion. Removal from both services is handled by the site operator. Technical delivery logs and provider backups may follow the providers’ separate retention schedules.

Support payments

Support checkout is configured. When enabled, opening payment options loads PayPal’s SDK. PayPal receives checkout information and handles payment details under its Privacy Statement (opens in a new tab). Supabase stores the amount, USD currency, payment status, environment, timestamps and PayPal order/capture identifiers. We do not retain full PayPal responses, payer email/name or card details. The random recovery key lets this tab check or retry its own payment; do not share it.

The recovery state lasts until the tab’s session ends or you clear site data. We keep minimal payment records for refunds, reconciliation and accounting. Records supporting tax returns are kept for five years after the relevant return is filed, and longer where an unresolved dispute, audit or legal obligation requires it. Records no longer needed for these purposes are deleted. Contact hello@runmayday.com for payment questions, refund requests or privacy requests.

Requests to other services

Each page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Like any web request, this gives Google your IP address and details of your browser. Google’s handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). Submitting the waitlist also makes a request to Supabase. Its Edge Function then contacts Resend. These services receive the information needed to process and deliver your signup.

Links to YouTube, Discord and X open in a new tab, and their own policies apply there. The links are set not to pass on the address of the page you came from. Enabled support checkout also contacts Supabase and PayPal.

Hosting

This website is hosted on Hostinger. Hosting and signup providers may keep request logs, such as IP address, time and the resource requested. Their exact log retention settings have not been confirmed here.

Mayday is run personally by Tyler Mollentze, based in South Africa. For website or waitlist privacy questions, contact hello@runmayday.com.

Your choices and rights

Joining is voluntary. You can browse the site without giving us your email address; without it we cannot send you waitlist updates. You can withdraw consent to emails, ask for access to your information, request a correction or deletion, or object to its use by emailing hello@runmayday.com. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own address. Any records we must retain by law are excluded from deletion until that requirement ends.

Where information is processed

Our hosting, signup and payment providers may process information outside South Africa. The Supabase database is hosted in its eu-west-1 region. Provider transfer arrangements and hosting log retention settings have not yet been fully confirmed by the operator.
